Major initiatives across the Victorian Government and key government agencies addressing health and wellbeing are summarised in the Action Plan update.
We all have a role to play in improving the health and wellbeing of Victorians - no one department, agency or organisation can do it on its own.
The new Victorian public health and wellbeing plan 2015-2019: Action plan update summarises the major initiatives of the Victorian Government and key government agencies that contribute to improving the health and wellbeing of all Victorians.
Decreasing inequalities is central to improving the health and wellbeing of all Victorians. The Action plan update includes a range of initiatives focused on achieving this aim, such as:
- Improving social and economic participation, access to mainstream services, and ensuring people with a disability have a voice and that their own life goals count through Absolutely everyone, the Victorian state disability plan for 2017 to 2020
- Reducing barriers and service gaps that affect women’s access to reproductive and sexual health services through implementation of the Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Key Priorities 2017–2020
- Improving Aboriginal health and wellbeing through Korin Korin Balit-Djak Aboriginal health, wellbeing and safety strategic plan 2017–2027 and Balit Murrup: Aboriginal social and emotional wellbeing framework and the Aboriginal governance and accountability framework .
The Victorian public health and wellbeing plan 2015–2019: Action plan update is now available on the DHHS website.
