Healthy eating guidelines – out now!

Healthy eating guidelines – out now!

The refreshed Healthy Choices policy guidelines are now available to support healthy eating across multiple settings.

The guidelines provide advice for:

  • hospitals and health services
  • sport and recreation centres
  • parks
  • workplaces.

The set of resources also includes the food and drink classification guide that uses a traffic light system to categorise foods and drinks as GREEN, AMBER or RED .

These guidelines provide consistent standards to support the supply and promotion of healthier foods and drinks throughout retail outlets, vending and workplace catering to help make healthier choices the easier choices.

The Healthy Choices guides use a place-based approach to promoting healthier food and drink and support Victoria’s efforts to increase healthy eating and prevent obesity and chronic disease.

The Healthy Eating Advisory Service provides support to implement the Healthy Choices guidelines across the settings. For further information visit Healthy Eating Advisory Service
