People-centred approaches are based on listening to what people want, and helping them live in their communities as they choose. To support health and wellbeing, Victoria is focusing on a range of actions including:
- committing to co-production and co-design at every level (policy, program and service design and delivery), and promoting equitable access for people with diverse cultural, religious, racial, linguistic, sexuality and gender identities
- improving Aboriginal employment outcomes across the public sector
- supporting the National Disability Insurance Scheme to build relationships with mainstream service providers and local communities
- applying a whole-of-government approach to cultural diversity planning by implementing Delivering for Diversity – cultural diversity plan 2016–2019 .
