Healthy eating and healthy kids

Nar Nar Goon Kindergarten joined the Achievement Program because they believe that the health and wellbeing of children, their families, staff and the community, strongly contributes to a child's ability to achieve their full potential.

To date, they have been recognised by the Victorian Government for creating a kindergarten that promotes physical activity, sun protection and healthy eating and oral health.

The team at Nar Nar Goon are proud to share their top tips for creating a healthy kindergarten. These include embedding good health throughout the curriculum and philosophy of the organisation, connecting with local health professionals, building relationships with families and getting staff involved.

Through their actions, Nar Nar Goon Kindergarten is supporting the health and wellbeing of the 80 children who attend their centre, as well as their staff, families and the community

Nar Nar Goon Kindergarten is one of approximately 900 early childhood services that are working to deliver healthier places for children.
