INFANT’s growth continues

INFANT’s growth continues

INFANT is scaling-up across Victoria with over 30 Local Government Areas (LGAs) implementing the program.

Based on over 15 years of research, INFANT is an evidence-based program aiming to improve parent's knowledge and skills about healthy eating and active play for infants; and in turn, healthy growth from the start of life.

The ongoing and effective scale-up across Victoria is a result of local collaboration, community support and partnerships which have been the key drivers of success when implementing INFANT across various LGAs. Each Victorian LGA is different, and as such, the way in which INFANT is implemented may be different. Explore the INFANT case studies here to find out how five LGAs tailored the implementation and delivery of INFANT to their communities.

INFANT training is currently provided free (until June 2023) for Victorian health and early years professionals working within the Victorian government, local council, Local Public Health Units or NGOs, including all Victorian Maternal and Child Health Nurses and students. The course is delivered online and is approximately 6-8 hours in length (self-paced over a four-week period) with an online 1.5 hour update every 2 years.
