The Loddon Mallee Preschool Association is celebrating an historic achievement, with 100% of services in the cluster achieving their Smiles 4 Miles award.
Through the Smiles 4 Miles program, the Loddon Mallee Preschool Association is supporting an amazing 1,693 children, and their families, at 28 services to look after their oral health. The association spans three Smiles 4 Miles funded organisations: Bendigo Health, Echuca Regional Health and Swan Hill District Health.
Pauline Nolan, Smiles 4 Miles coordinator at Bendigo Health, said she was elated to see the services awarded.
“This has been a goal that was first spoken about in 2015 and is fantastic to see it being achieved,” Pauline said.
This achievement means that every kindergarten in the cluster is providing an environment that supports healthy eating and oral health; engaging families about the importance of oral health; and educating children through a variety of fun learning experiences based on the Smiles 4 Miles key messages – Drink well, Eat well and Clean well.
