Swan Hill Rural City Council is stepping up to help the community get more active in April.
Premier’s Active April encourages all Victorians to do 30 minutes of physical activity a day during April. The aim is for people to enjoy the benefits of physical activity during the month and beyond.
Swan Hill Rural City Council, Swan Hill District Health and a range of sport, recreation and health providers are leading the charge to support this effort locally. Together, these organisations are offering a range of free and discounted classes and ‘come and try’ events to help local people be more active more often. Activities being held throughout the month include yoga, bootcamp, guided walks, badminton, basketball, cycling and more.
“We want to encourage as many people as possible to get active and this challenge is a great way to do that,” Councillor Bill Moar said.
